Oil:
It is the main ingredient of the homemade mayonnaise. But try to use good quality oil.
Egg:
Add egg. some people just use egg yolk but I preferred using the whole egg.
White vinegar:
You can use white vinegar as well as apple cider vinegar.
Salt:
It is just for the sake of taste.
Lemon:
you can use fresh lemon juice as well as bottled lemon juice as well.
Mustard Paste: (optional ingredient)
Mustard paste is added to give it a unique flavor. You can skip it if you don’t like it.
Tips for making good quality mayonnaise at home:
Don’t use the wide base bowl for blending purposes instead use a narrow bottom jug like the jug of a stick blender.
Don’t use a food processor for blending instead use a stick blender.
How to fix if a good emulsion is not formed?
Add one more egg yolk. it aids in emulsion making and thick mayonnaise is formed.
Add a tbsp of warm water it aids in emulsification but the consistency becomes thin but it is good in taste.
